YotaPhone: World’s first dual-screen smartphone

Yota Devices the Russian device maker has launched the “YotaPhone” in India which is its first generation dual-screen smartphone at a pricing of Rs. 23,499. Dubai-based Jumbo Electronics have partnered with India’s largest online mega store “Flipkart“. The YotaPhone is ready for sale from 17 October 2014 on “Flipkart“.

The YotaPhone is packed with a liquid crystal display on one side and an electronic paper display on the other side. Which makes user access information continuously without waking up the phone. YotaPhone has a 4.3-inch LCD with 1280x720p resolution on one side. And a 4.3-inch 640x360p E-ink display on the other side. In addition, YotaPhone is packed with a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor. Alongside, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It has  1800mAh capacity battery.

Although, The phone features the company’s patented software that allows information to be shared. And used between YotaPhone’s two screens. The E-Ink display of Phone also enables users to see notifications like messages, calls, reminders, appointments, weather etc. Even when the smartphone display is not turned on. Here technology also preserves smartphone battery power. On top of that, Yota Devices claims that in reading mode, YotaPhone has 7-10 times the battery life of other smartphones.
